is located at the southeast corner of East Colfax Avenue and Potomac
Street, right off of interstate 225 in Aurora, Colorado. The visibility

- Fitzsimons Campus
The Shops are across the street from the new Fitzsimons Campus. The
former Fitzsimons Army Medical Center is being transformed into a
state-of-the-art life sciences center. The Fitzsimons Campus is a
578 acre, $4.3 billion renovation and transformation into a square
mile of patient care, education, basic science research and bioscience
research and development. The Fitzsimons Campus development is anchored
by the 227 acre campus of the University of Colorado Health Sciences
Center (UCHSC) and Hospital (UCH) and the affiliated 160 acre Colorado
Bioscience Park. Children’s Hospital just opened up on campus in September
of 2007. The US Department of Veteran Affairs plans to build a $98
million hospital at the southeast corner of the Fitzsimons Campus
and intends to be open by 2011. At buildout, it is expected that more
than 32,000 people will be employed on the Fitzsimons Campus in the
estimated 15 million new square feet constructed, not to mention the
31,000 job-years of onsite construction until completion. Currently
there are approximately 16,000 employees on campus everyday.**

directly across the street, high density residential, retail/office
space and a convention center, although the Shops at Fitzsimons is
